Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist – Unit Based to operationalize nursing development tools and drive evidence-based practice across units.

The role emphasizes learning facilitation, change leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with the Center for Clinical Education & Professional Practice Development. Onsite, day shift with focus on onboarding, competency management, and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or higher and RN license in WA or multi-state licensure.
• ANCC NPD specialty certification preferred.
• At least 4 years acute care nursing practice; 3+ years education/leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize tools, theories, skills to improve nursing practice.
• Serve as learning facilitator, mentor and change agent.
• Collaborate with Center for Clinical Education & Professional Practice Development and unit-based NPD teams.
• Lead onboarding, orientation, competency management and continuing education.
