Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital in Akron, OH is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist - Unit Based to deliver direct patient care and oversee pharmacy operations in a rotating schedule.

The role includes clinical rotations, education of patients and staff, and collaboration with physicians and nurses within the Akron General Medical Center pharmacy team. Eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocity within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services to support safe, effective, and evidence-based medication therapy for inpatient populations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and educate patients and other caregivers.
• Verify medication orders and dispense medications accurately according to regulations.
• Precept pharmacy residents and students and support medication safety initiatives.
