Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist for a PRN role, mainly 2nd shift and weekends. You will review patient charts, verify orders, and support daily pharmacy operations across inpatient and infusion centers, collaborating with pharmacists, technicians, and care teams.

The position emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, and compliance with regulations, with opportunities to educate staff and caregivers and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current state licensure as an RPh or eligible for reciprocation within 90 days of hire.
• For immunizations: BLS through AHA or Red Cross and completion of an immunization course or certification within 90 days; ACLS or PALS within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
• Verify medication orders and dispense medications according to state and federal regulations.
• Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
• Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.
• Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
