Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. is seeking an associate to install vehicle components and accessories. You will read schematics and work orders to meet customer requirements and verify installations through testing.

Role involves moving within the production area, cross-training, and following safety and quality policies. A high school diploma or GED is required, with basic reading, writing and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Install unit vehicle components and accessories.
• Read and interpret schematics (blueprints) and work orders to understand customer requirements.
• Test installed components.
• Use basic hand tools such as tape measure and specialty equipment.
• Learn and operate all equipment within the work area (cell).
• Perform rework as required.
• Support APS (Altec Production System) initiatives. May participate in RCI events.
• Move to other work areas in order to support production needs. (Cross-train)
• Effectively assist and train new/current associates.
• Follow established safety, environmental and quality policies, procedures and practices to include proper use and care of PPE
• Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment.
• Adhere to Altec's attendance policy.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Applicants must:

• be able to provide a high school diploma/GED.
• have the ability to read, write, and comprehend.
• have basic computer usage knowledge.
• currently obtain ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and schematics.

Pay Transparency

Pay range: $22.17 to $24.56/hour + $1.50 shift differential. We are committed to fair and competitive pay for all associates based on their experience, education, and qualifications.

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
