Cleveland-Cliffs, Butler Works in Butler, Ohio, has an immediate need for an Operations Shift Manager in the Steelmaking department. The Shift Manager is responsible for managing a union workforce and processing steel through the unit.

The role involves supervising hourly bargaining unit employees, controlling shop timing to meet production goals, and assisting in safety and SOP updates for the department.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly bargaining unit employees and provide work direction.
• Control shop timing to ensure each steel heat meets its destination on time.
• Assist in the development and update of Job Safety and Health Analysis and SOPs for the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
