Job summary

Gerken Paving, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Paving Foreman to lead field crews, coordinate daily operations, and ensure safe, high-quality work on every project. This is a full-time, seasonal leadership role where union membership is required.

You will train and mentor crew members, plan paving activities to meet schedules, manage materials and site logistics, and guarantee compliance with project specifications. A valid Ohio CDL Class A and 3–5 years of paving experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of road construction and paving experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to train, mentor, and develop crew members.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with construction safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead paving crews in daily operations.
• Plan and coordinate paving activities to meet project schedules.
• Assign work and manage crew workflow.
• Train and develop crew while promoting safety and quality.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and site logistics.
• Ensure pavement quality and compliance with specs.
• Maintain production, timekeeping, and job costing records.
• Communicate project progress and resource needs to management.
• Collaborate with milling crews for project execution.
