Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, Inc. in New Bedford, MA, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our precision alloys team. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair rolling mills, furnaces, slitters, conveyors, and related mechanical systems in a heavy manufacturing environment.

This role demands strong problem-solving, teamwork and safe work practices. The base schedule is Mon-Fri with potential 1st-3rd shifts and overtime in a 24/7 operation; pre-employment

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, farming, military or other industrial environment.
• Or an associates degree in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Follow safety practices to ensure equipment is operated safely.
• Perform preventive, predictive and emergency maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Maintain records of projects including assembly, start up and installation.
• Assist with installing piping, welding, rigging and miscellaneous repairs as needed.
• Support daily meetings and prioritize the daily work schedule.
• Operate trucks, man lifts, cranes and other mobile equipment as required.
