Job summary

Superior Aluminum Alloys in Indiana is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to handle electrical and mechanical maintenance in the Melting department. The role operates on a swing shift schedule of 6:00 to 18:00, four days on and four days off, with potential overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include covering maintenance vacations, performing preventive maintenance, installing new equipment, welding and fabrication, and maintaining accurate maintenance documentation while upholding

Qualifications

• Excellent safety record, strong communication skills, self-motivated and ability to work with others.
• Previous industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical / mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to pass FIT test for full face respirator and SCBA.
• Electrical experience
• PLC knowledge
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Formal electrical or automation training
• Basic knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems

Responsibilities

• Cover maintenance vacations
• Work with chemicals that require full face respirator or SCBA
• Perform preventative maintenance, project work and installation of new equipment
• Welding and fabrication as needed
• Monitor and ensure safe work practices
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation
• Perform all other tasks assigned by leadership
