Job summary

SSA Terminals, LLC is seeking an Operations Labor Manager in Long Beach, CA to direct union labor, ensure safety, and optimize workforce deployment. The role exercises independent judgment over labor personnel and adheres to collective bargaining agreements.

You will lead foremen and supervisors, monitor safety performance, and coordinate with vessel personnel, customers, and terminal staff to achieve cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and management experience.
• Preferably 3 years managing union labor in a similar setting.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain TWIC card.
• Current CPR certification and knowledge of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates labor, equipment, and resources within union rules.
• Oversees hiring, assignment, discipline, and evaluation of union labor personnel.
• Plan and deploy labor and equipment to meet operational plans.
• Ensure safety compliance and incident reporting according to policy.
