Job summary

Brayman Construction Corporation seeks an experienced Union Carpenter Foreman to lead crews on the Montgomery Lock & Dam Project in Monaca, PA. This long-term, federal USACE project offers stability, outdoor heavy civil work, and hands-on leadership supervising union carpenters in concrete formwork, pile driving, and structural installations.

The Foreman will interpret drawings, plan daily tasks, maintain safety, mentor apprentices, and coordinate with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of heavy civil carpentry foreman/crew leader experience.
• Strong experience with formwork systems and structural concrete.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
• Recent and verifiable construction work history required.

Responsibilities

• Leading crews constructing complex concrete formwork systems.
• Interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and layout.
• Coordinating pile driving support, rigging, and structural installations.
• Planning and assigning daily work tasks to meet project schedule requirements.
• Managing crew productivity and maintaining efficient operations.
• Coordinating manpower, materials, and equipment with project supervision.
• Ensuring compliance with company and USACE safety requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control.
• Communicating with superintendents, engineers, inspectors, and other trades.
• Mentoring apprentices and journeyman carpenters.
