Job summary
Guardian Service Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to oversee daily operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of city buildings and associated systems.
The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, BAS/BMS operation, and safety practices. The engineer will manage preventive maintenance, respond to alarms, document work orders, and coordinate with contractors while ensuring energy-conscious
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in building operations, engineering and maintenance.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot HVAC and building systems.
- Knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls and life safety systems.
Responsibilities
- Inspect buildings and systems for unsafe or abnormal conditions.
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and BAS systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and building systems.
- Operate and monitor Building Management System (BMS/BAS) and analyze alarms and trends.
- Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors and vendors.
- Maintain logs, records and documentation of work performed.
