Job summary

Guardian Service Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to oversee daily operation, maintenance, and repairs of city buildings in a technology-driven environment.

You will manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety and security systems while leveraging BMS/BAS, CMMS and mobile documentation to ensure safe, energy-conscious operations. The role requires hands-on repair capability, excellent documentation, and coordination with IT and outside vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in building operations, engineering or related maintenance fields.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude for HVAC and building systems.
• Experience with BMS/BAS, alarms, trends and basic control troubleshooting.
• Proficient with digital work orders, tablets and CMMS platforms.
• Ability to read blueprints and control diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and systems for unsafe or abnormal conditions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and BAS.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and HVAC equipment.
• Operate and monitor BMS/BAS platforms and alarms.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when needed.
