Job summary

GALLS, LLC is seeking a hands-on Tailor/Seamstress (Production Associate) in Tallahassee, FL. You will alter uniforms and equipment for Public Safety professionals, ensuring proper measurements, accurate fittings, and readiness for duty.

You will follow work instructions, operate heat presses and sewing machines, and perform a range of alterations with care and speed. Training is provided, and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Alterations preferred; training provided by GALLS.
• Industrial sewing machines experience preferred; training provided by GALLS.
• Ability to read/receive work instructions in English.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused; not happy with mistakes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods, bend, stretch, twist, and lift.

Responsibilities

• Read and identify the customer’s needs per the Work Instruction Document.
• Take measurements and mark garments for alterations; solve sizing issues.
• Operate a heat press safely and efficiently.
• Perform sewing, alterations, and embellishments with accuracy (zippers, patches, name strips, stripes).
• Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
