Colorado Department of Labor and Employment seeks a Labor/Employment Specialist I to support the Unemployment Insurance program in Colorado. This position emphasizes customer service across phone, email, chat, and in-person interactions within the UI framework.

The role requires prior experience in direct customer support with data-entry and case management, plus the ability to interpret policies and coordinate claims processing for claimants and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years and six (6) months of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned.
• Or a combination of related education and/or relevant experience equal to four (4) years and six (6) months.
• An example of an occupation related to this position is Customer Service in a Direct Customer Support through dedicated platforms involving intermediate to complex data entry, crisis based case management and/or customer service.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service in the delivery of the Colorado Unemployment Insurance program via telephone, email, chat, in workforce centers, and in the UI lobby.
• Explain and clarify Unemployment Insurance Division policies, regulations, and state and federal laws pertaining to CESA and FUTA to claimants and directors.
• Adjudicate non-monetary non‑separation issues after conducting investigative fact‑finding and applying knowledge of state and federal law.
• Identify and coordinate UI claims taking activities and provide support across systems and channels during customer interactions.
