Job summary

CRC Group is seeking a Team Underwriter to evaluate and manage underwriting risks while contributing to team performance within authority limits. You will underwrite new and renewal business, provide technical guidance, and coordinate the underwriting teams to ensure compliant, consistent execution.

You will lead collaborations with producers and internal partners, mentor junior underwriters, and help drive portfolio quality through rigorous risk assessment and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance designation required or preferred.
• Experience in underwriting, including multi-line or specialty products.
• Ability to manage complex accounts and contribute to performance outcomes.
• Experience mentoring within a team environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority.
• Manage underwriting workflow from submissions to documentation.
• Monitor production metrics to support portfolio quality and predictability.
• Resolve underwriting issues including inspections and coverage adjustments.
• Collaborate with producers, agents and internal teams for timely decisions.
• Mentor and lead less experienced underwriters to ensure consistency.
