Job summary

OMS National Insurance Co. seeks an Underwriting Technician to support underwriters with new business, endorsements, and renewals. You will review submissions, request policy documents, and ensure timely processing while delivering excellent service to policyholders and agents.

The role requires a college degree or equivalent experience, five years in related work, and strong MS Office skills. A hybrid schedule and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred or combination of education and related experience.
• Five years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ImageRight or similar policy administration software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle external and internal client inquiries and support underwriters with new business, endorsements, and renewals.
• Review and issue submissions; refer to underwriter when beyond authority.
• Request underwriting documents and follow up with agents and insureds.
• Provide customer service for policyholders and agents; respond to inquiries promptly.
• Coordinate with underwriters to update policyholder status and initiate policy changes.
