Job summary

As a rising senior in risk, economics, or related fields, you’ll gain hands-on experience analyzing risk factors and collaborating on a capstone project with peers.

Qualifications

• Rising senior pursuing an applicable bachelor's degree.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training to understand underwriting principles and risk evaluation.
• Mentor with an experienced underwriter and engage with leaders across functions.
• Analyze real underwriting cases and help inform pricing decisions.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a summer-long project to strengthen analytical thinking and teamwork.
• Attend sessions with NYL leaders to broaden understanding of the underwriting role.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Business Management, or related field
