Arch Insurance Group Inc. in New Jersey is seeking an Underwriting Services Specialist to leverage customer service skills, process knowledge, and software tools to meet SLA targets.

You will analyze information and determine the appropriate action while supporting policy issuance and endorsements. This role emphasizes collaboration, data accuracy, and timely processing of underwriting transactions within a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or insurance designation preferred.
• 2–5 years in the insurance industry.
• Experience with WC, GL, Property and/or Commercial Auto.

Responsibilities

• Provide service delivery for moderately complicated accounts for policy and endorsement issuance.
• File documentation and setup.
• Review account information for entry into systems with quality data reporting.
• Order, prepare and update reports.
• Policy rating and initial entry into rating model.
• Process underwriting transactions and requests.
• Communicate with internal functions and brokers as the key contact for assigned accounts.
• Booking and invoicing.
• Support special projects as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Underwriting Services Specialist utilizes customer service skills, established processes, and various software applications to achieve individual and unit targets and to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met. The Underwriting Service Specialist works cross-functionally and is responsible for analyzing key pieces of information and determining the appropriate course of action.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Provide service delivery for moderately complicated accounts for policy & endorsement issuance
• File documentation and set-up
• Review account information for entry into appropriate systems that ensures quality data reporting
• Order, prepare and/or update reports
• Policy Rating and/or initial entry into rating model
• Processing of various underwriting transactions and requests
• Communicates with various internal functions as well as brokers to serve as key contact for assigned accounts
• Booking/Invoicing
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and Experience:

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$55,300 - $82,700/year

• Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
