Arch Capital Group in Chicago seeks an Underwriting Services Specialist to apply customer service skills, analyze information, and drive SLA performance for policy and endorsement issuance. You will collaborate across teams to handle moderately complex accounts and ensure data quality and timely reporting.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in insurance with WC, GL, Property or Commercial Auto knowledge, and a Bachelor’s degree or professional designation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Insurance designation preferred.
• 2–5 years insurance industry experience.
• Experience with WC, GL, Property and/or Commercial Auto.

Responsabilités

• Provide service delivery for moderately complicated accounts for policy & endorsement issuance.
• File documentation and set-up.
• Review account information for entry into appropriate systems.
• Order, prepare and/or update reports.
• Policy rating and/or initial entry into rating model.
• Processing underwriting transactions and requests.

Position Summary:

The Underwriting Services Specialist utilizes customer service skills, established processes, and various software applications to achieve individual and unit targets and to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met. The Underwriting Service Specialist works cross-functionally and is responsible for analyzing key pieces of information and determining the appropriate course of action.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Provide service delivery for moderately complicated accounts for policy & endorsement issuance
• File documentation and set-up
• Review account information for entry into appropriate systems that ensures quality data reporting
• Order, prepare and/or update reports
• Policy Rating and/or initial entry into rating model
• Processing of various underwriting transactions and requests
• Communicates with various internal functions as well as brokers to serve as key contact for assigned accounts
• Booking/Invoicing
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Insurance Designation preferred
• 2-5 years’ experience in Insurance industry
• Experience with WC, GL, Property and/or Commercial Auto

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible. $55,300 - $82,700/year Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
