Job summary

PURE Insurance is seeking a Business Rules Manager to own the Sapiens Decision platform for underwriting. You will draft rules with subject matter experts, ensure clear and precise rule language, and manage UAT with evidence-backed sign-off before go-live.

You will set roadmaps, monitor rule performance with analytics, and collaborate with IT, analytics, and cross-functional partners to scale the platform as a decision-support tool across underwriting and product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in P&C underwriting, underwriting operations, or a related field.
• Experience with a business rules or decision management platform is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the Sapiens Decision platform for the business and drive rollout and adoption.
• Draft rules with SMEs to ensure clear, correct language and outcomes.
• Strategically decide when rules should fire and how across states and lines.
• Set roadmaps for rule sets and balance underwriting needs with long-term goals.
• Monitor rule performance with analytics and quantify underwriting impact.
• Lead UAT for new/changed rules and obtain sign-off with evidence.
• Serve as primary liaison to IT, resolving requirements and design questions.
• Build relationships with underwriters and incorporate feedback into rule design.
• Manage multiple rule initiatives, prioritizing and communicating risk to stakeholders.
