Job summary

Highmark Inc. in the United States is offering the Summer 2027 Undergraduate Underwriting Internship to gain hands-on experience in underwriting operations, pricing analysis, and financial evaluation within healthcare and insurance.

As part of the Labor & Education Underwriting Team, interns will work with seasoned underwriters on new business and renewals, contribute to account pricing, reporting, data analysis, and tools development while building strong business and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pricing and risk evaluation for new and renewal business.
• Support client reporting activities.
• Analyze financial and business data.
• Participate in projects designed to enhance underwriting tools and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
