Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Summer 2027 Underwriting Undergraduate Intern to support underwriting operations, pricing analysis, and financial evaluation in a healthcare and insurance setting.

As part of the Labor & Education Underwriting Team, you will work with experienced underwriters on new business and renewal activities, participate in project work, and develop analytical and communication skills through mentorship and hands-on learning.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pricing and risk evaluation for new and renewal business.
• Support client reporting activities and data analysis.
• Contribute to projects to enhance underwriting tools and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
• Gain exposure to underwriting decisions impacting growth and profitability.
• Participate in mentorship and project-based learning.
• Develop analytical, communication, and business skills during the internship.
