Job summary

Jonus Group is seeking an Underwriting Operations Technician in Davenport, IA to support the underwriting team by processing policies, endorsements, and quotes with accuracy and efficiency.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time‑management skills, clear communication with underwriters, and the ability to apply ISO and NCCI guidelines using internal systems. Prior experience in commercial P&C and proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO and NCCI guidelines/regulations is a plus.
• Experience with insurance rating and policy systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process policies, endorsements, and quotes to support the underwriting team.
• Review applications and policy change requests for accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize internal systems and rating tools to rate new and renewal business.
• Calculate premiums for new business, endorsements, cancellations, and payment plans.
• Assist underwriters with quotes, renewals, and policy modifications.
• Apply ISO, NCCI, and related manuals for rating and policy interpretation.
• Maintain proficiency in company systems and underwriting tools.
• Communicate with underwriting staff to resolve questions or discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of policy transactions.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $40,000 - $58,000 annually
