Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Perform underwriting analysis and documentation to determine risk acceptability for renewal and new business within assigned authority.
  • Handle endorsement requests within delegated authority and refer exceptions to the underwriter.
  • Engage agencies to clarify endorsement intent or obtain missing information.
  • Handle assigned renewal book, triage renewal applications/specifications, and formulate next steps for the underwriter.
  • Liaise within the branch and across CNA to resolve billing, collections, risk control, underwriting guidance, line-of-business, and underwriting-services issues.
  • Document assigned files for completeness, compliance, and quality.
  • Execute advanced pricing strategy and document pricing rationale.
  • Complete quote proposals and negotiate with external partners within assigned authority.
  • Serve as first-line contact for producers/customers and identify upsell or account-rounding opportunities.
  • Assist in marketing products and services through external partners and make field visits.
  • Serve as a systems and workflows resource, trainer, problem solver, coach, and feedback conduit.
  • Keep current on line-of-business strategy, state/territory issues, regulations, and trends.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
