Job summary

American International Group (AIG) invites students to join our Summer Internship in the Underwriting department. The program runs nine weeks and offers hands-on experience in risk assessment, financial analysis, and client interaction within a global insurer.

Interns work in‑person, four days per week, with exposure to multiple underwriting areas and cross-functional partners. Eligible students must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree and be available June 7 through August 6, 2027.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional environments.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced team setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluating risks to determine coverage, terms, and pricing.
• Review underwriting submissions, financials, loss history, and exposure data.
• Build relationships with brokers, clients, and internal partners.
