Job summary

DUAL North America invites applications for the Underwriting Intern role in Chicago, IL. The intern will work with experienced underwriters on risk assessment, pricing, and underwriting strategy while contributing to real projects and gaining hands-on experience in a professional setting.

You will partner with underwriting teams, organize information, and summarize market insights. The program runs from June 7, 2027 to August 20, 2026, and offers exposure to industry tools within a people-first

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Graduating between December 2027 and May 2028
  • Majoring in risk management, business, finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of insurance principles is a plus

  • Reports to: Sr. Underwriter
  • Travel: 0-10%
  • Salary: $22.00/hr.

Key requ s irements
