Job summary

International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP) seeks an Associate Underwriter for its Early Career Program in San Francisco. The role offers hands-on underwriting training, with a one-year track designed for recent graduates to develop industry certifications and a path to advancement.

The position is hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) with a starting base salary ranging from $70,000 to $75,000, plus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance & Risk Management or related field with GPA 3.0+.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Analytical, proactive, and able to prioritize multiple demands.
• Team player with leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Market Arch products and services to wholesale and retail brokers.
• Underwrite and price products, including financial and exposure analyses.
• Review and rate policies; review claims.
• Bind new and renewal accounts per underwriting philosophy and strategy.
• Serve brokers and customers.
