Arch Capital Group in Chicago is launching an Associate Underwriter through our Early Careers Program, designed for ambitious graduates to begin a high-performing underwriting career with on-the-job training and professional certifications. The one-year program combines classroom and practical experience in a global insurer.

The role is hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) with a base salary range of 70,000–75,000 USD, plus incentive eligibility, reflecting location and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to think through issues.
• Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple demands.

Responsibilities

• Market Arch products and services to wholesale and retail brokers.
• Underwrite and price products, including financial analysis.
• Perform exposure analysis.
• Review and rate policy contracts.
• Conduct claims review.
• Bind new and renewal accounts per underwriting philosophy.
• Service brokers and customers.
