Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Underwriting Assistant II to join our team. In this role, you will support the underwriting team in managing new and existing business across multiple lines.

This role is within Everest’s Operations Department and could provide underwriting support for lines such as:

  • Commercial Auto, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Excess Casualty

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing multi-line new business, renewal submissions, and endorsements accurately and timely.
  • Adhering to department service level agreements.
  • Reviewing and following processing guidelines and suggesting improvements.
  • Managing underwriting and broker relationships with prompt responses.
  • Leading weekly meetings to prioritize work and resolve issues.
  • Communicating with brokers and internal teams for documentation and updates.
  • Supporting compliance with state rules and regulations.
  • Gathering and analyzing underwriting data.
  • Participating in peer reviews and special projects.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience or providing service support for underwriting.
  • Experience with multi-line national accounts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and desk management skills.
  • Drive for continuous improvement and team collaboration.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple deadlines.
  • Analytical thinking and independent learning skills.

Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.

Compensation: For NY and CA, $60,000 - $75,000 annually, based on experience and location.
