Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Underwriting Assistant II to support our underwriting team across multiple lines of business, including Commercial Auto, General Liability, Workers Compensation, and Excess Casualty.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle multi-line submissions, renewals, endorsements, including rating and policy assembly
  • Adhere to department service level agreements and processing guidelines
  • Manage relationships with underwriters and brokers, respond to service inquiries
  • Lead weekly meetings to prioritize work and resolve challenges
  • Communicate with brokers for documentation and policy issuance
  • Maintain correspondence and transaction activity records
  • Coordinate with BPO partners for transaction review
  • Support underwriters across different regions and time zones
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations
  • Gather and analyze underwriting information and reports
  • Participate in peer reviews and quality control
  • Engage in special projects and initiatives
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience supporting underwriting or in service support roles
  • Experience with multi-line national accounts
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

Additional Details:

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 remote)

Location: Warren, NJ, with additional locations across the US

Salary Range (NY & CA): $60,000 - $75,000 annually, based on experience
