InShare is a leading MGA for the fast moving Final Mile Delivery sector. We are growing and are looking for a Commercial Insurance Underwriting Assistant . Top candidates will have 2+ years of commercial insurance experience with an insurance carrier, broker, or MGA. We’re looking for self-starters who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You should be able to apply your skills in innovative ways, be comfortable in a startup environment, and enjoy solving complex challenges, all while delivering an amazing service experience to brokers and clients. We are currently a 100% virtual company, and are open to exceptional candidates located in major hubs throughout the continental US. That said, we are building a high performing team in Texas and Phoenix, and have a preference for candidates in those locations.

How This Role Contributes to InShare:

• Develop, expand and enhance broker relationships to promote profitability and growth of new business and the retention of existing business.
• Effectively communicate, manage transactions, and prepare underwriting documents for review.
• Proactively support the Underwriting team handling such functions as ordering MVR’s, processing loss runs, posting notices, cancellation notices, and general administrative assistance.
• Manage the submission inbox, triage submissions, and prepare files for underwriter review.
• Under supervision and with training, rate, quote and issue policies and endorsements
• Prequalify or decline new business by evaluating submissions for acceptability to program underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Underwriting team, Actuarial, Risk Control, Claims, IT and Senior Management to create strong partnerships and build a profitable book of business

What You’ll Bring:

• College education or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of insurance experience, preferably with a carrier, broker or MGA
• Understanding of underwriting processes and P&C account management
• Ability to prioritize and multitask with accuracy
• Willingness to be both tactical and strategic
• Independent thinking, creative problem solving, sense of urgency, and adaptability
• Effective time management skills with ability to handle requests within company guidelines and goals
• Flexibility and adaptability - change is the only constant

What Will Blow Us Away:

• Vertafore and/or MGA Systems experience
• Prior data analysis experience
• Prior personal auto or commercial auto underwriting experience
• Prior sales or marketing experience
• P & C Producer’s License
