The Colonial Group is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Marine/Watercraft Underwriter to join our team. This can be a work from home opportunity for the right candidate.

Primary function is to review applications, inspections and loss history for new and renewal business and make good decisions. Goal is to provide best

options for risk placement to our agency partners & policy holders while achieving an acceptable loss ratio with our Carriers

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Review applications for accuracy and determine that the risk meets the Carrier’s Underwriting Guidelines

Order Inspections, Valuations, Credit & CLUE reports from third party vendors

Review inspections and reports to determine that the applicant and risk meets the Carrier’s Underwriting Guidelines

Review loss history to determine if we want to remain on the risk

Review and process all monied policy change requests

Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Required: Prior Marine / Watercraft underwriting experience. High school diploma, Previous one year experience in the insurance industry, MS Office Suite proficiency & Licensed if assigned specific NC accounts

Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Financial related discipline

Pay Range

60000 - 65000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
