Job summary

Jobtailor in California is seeking an underwriting support specialist to assist with account management and policy processing throughout the policy life cycle.

You will handle new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation in underwriting systems while delivering excellent client service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1 year minimum in underwriting support, insurance operations, agency, brokerage, or carrier.
• 2+ years in insurance industry preferred, with Commercial Lines/Workers' Compensation exposure.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of underwriting support, insurance operations, agency, brokerage, or carrier experience required
• Two or more years of insurance industry experience preferred
• Experience supporting Commercial Lines and/or Workers' Compensation business preferred, including exposure to Property, General Liability, Commercial Auto, and Workers' Compensation coverages
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
