Job summary

PowerPay in King of Prussia, PA is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our growing underwriting team. You will review loan applications, assess income, credit history, and documentation to ensure compliance with credit policies and timely decisions.

You will collaborate with customer operations and sales, manage loan pipelines, and communicate underwriting outcomes clearly while maintaining high standards of accuracy and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Understanding of financing economics and risk elements.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
• Professional written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications and documentation for completeness and policy adherence.
• Analyze income and credit history to determine loan decisions.
• Obtain and review new loan documentation as needed.
• Ensure all underwriting conditions are satisfied.
• Communicate and coordinate information with applicants, clients and sales team.
• Manage loan pipeline to ensure timely and smooth transaction flow.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
• Document and communicate reasons for loan approvals or rejections.
