Job summary

Pathward, N.A. is seeking a skilled underwriter to evaluate and fund loan opportunities with a focus on timely decisions and risk control.

You will guide the loan process from underwriting through closing, ensuring customers understand requirements and responsibilities while aligning with credit policies. You will collaborate with Business Development Officers, review financial statements, and mentor junior analysts as part of a growing credit team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
• 3+ years relevant underwriting experience.
• Strong business acumen, communication, and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite the full spectrum of lending products in a timely and efficient manner.
• Apply credit policies and underwriting standards.
• Collaborate with Business Development Officers to provide a consultative credit perspective.
• Review deal packages for content and completeness.
• Order and review due diligence and documentation.
• Review financial statement spreads and cash flows.
• Oversee closing documentation and negotiate with prospects.
