Job summary

Pathward is seeking a Remote Senior Finance Legal professional to independently manage documentation for traditional and government-guaranteed loan transactions from origination through closing. You will interact with borrowers, counsel, brokers, and vendors to ensure proper documentation and timely funding.

Responsibilities include coordinating with partners and internal teams, drafting and reviewing closing documents, and providing guidance to the Closing Team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in operational risk or regulatory compliance.
• Ability to analyze financing contracts and related documents for content issues; familiarity with contract drafting/legal terminology.
• Detail oriented and analytical; able to multi-task and manage workflow independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Act as the bank’s primary representative with closing parties (borrowers, guarantors, counsel, brokers, vendors).
• Identify, collect, and review all items required for closing.
• Interface with legal counsel during closing document prep.
• Manage all aspects of loan closing; coordinate with partners, vendors, and other departments.
• Collaborate with Structured Finance teammates to progress funding objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and business partners.
• Provide support, training, and expertise to Closing Team members.
• Develop reports, processes, and procedures within the Closing Team.
