Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks an Engineer Diver for underwater inspections with the Trenton, NJ team. Immigration sponsorship is limited to TN visa candidates. Compensation ranges from $55.00 to $65.00 per hour, based on experience, education, and certifications.

Responsibilities include pre-dive equipment checks, underwater inspections for construction and marine structures, data recording, and reporting. Travel and field work are required; safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• Dive Diploma from an ADCI accredited diving educational institution.
• Current ADCI Card is required.
• Must possess a current ADCI diving physical.
• Ability to wear a commercial diving hat and all necessary equipment 25–50lbs, for ~6hrs daily.
• Ability to travel for remote projects for several weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

• Check diving equipment to ensure proper functioning before dives.
• Conduct underwater dives using diving equipment.
• Review and interpret plans and design drawings.
• Record inspection data and assist in inspection reports.
• Perform field work including nights and weekends.
• Report medical issues during or after dives and any equipment hazards.
• Ensure safety practices and work collaboratively with team.
