Job summary

SLR Consulting, a leading environmental, engineering, and advisory firm, seeks a Bridge Inspection Diver for our Bridgeport, CT office. You will conduct underwater site investigations, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to detailed reports while supporting travel to various locations.

The role requires Diver Certification, NBIS certification (or eligibility), and a valid driver’s license, with approximately 50% overnight travel and full-time employment.

Qualifications

• 3 years preferred experience as a commercial diver, including underwater inspections of bridges, piers, piles, wharves, docks and bulkheads.
• Diver Certification and NBIS Certification are required; NBIS certifications are a plus if not currently held.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations as part of an inspection team for bridges.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure scope and deliverables.
• Prepare standard documents, such as technical reports.
• Travel approximately 50% overnight to support projects.
