Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) in Trenton, NJ seeks an Engineer Diver to perform underwater inspections for construction, bridges and marine structures. The role requires certification, ADCI credentials, and the ability to travel for remote projects.

Compensation ranges from $55.00 to $65.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, with ESOP and comprehensive benefits. Travel and field duties may include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
  • Dive Diploma from an ADCI accredited diving educational institution.
  • Current ADCI Card and ADCI diving medical certificate required to work underwater.

Responsibilities

  • Check diving equipment to ensure it functions properly before dives.
  • Use diving gear to perform underwater inspections.
  • Review and interpret plans and design drawings for underwater works.
  • Conduct underwater inspections for construction, bridges, and marine structures to ensure compliance.
  • Record inspection data and assist in writing inspection reports.
  • Field work may occur nights or weekends.
  • Report medical issues or equipment problems observed during dives.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and participate in team-based tasks.
  • Support related engineering duties as needed.
