Job summary

Georgia Department of Transportation seeks a Bridge Maintenance technician to support underwater inspection operations statewide. The position is based in Forest Park with the underwater team, and offers a 4-day workweek (10 hours per day) with a $4,000 annual diver supplement in addition to base pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience at TRT050 or equivalent.
• Diving certification required.
• Valid Georgia driver's license required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in bridge inventory and underwater inspection operations statewide.
• Perform field inspections to collect structural data.
• Maintain records of bridge maintenance activities.
• Respond to requests for technical bridge maintenance assistance.
• Assist in data collection for the bridge management system.
