Job summary

SLR International Corporation’s Bridgeport, CT office is seeking a Bridge Inspection Diver to join our team. You’ll perform underwater site investigations, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and contribute to detailed reports for critical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 3 years preferred experience as a commercial diver, including underwater inspections of bridges, piers, piles, wharves, docks and bulkheads.
• Diver Certification is required; NBIS certifications are highly valued.
• Familiarity with sound engineering and safe diving principles.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations as part of an inspection team.
• Works collaboratively with all members of the engineering dive group.
• Prepare standard documents, such as technical reports.
• Assists Project Managers to ensure that the scope of work is fulfilled, and that the contracted deliverables go out on schedule and as budgeted.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required, approximately 50% overnight.
