Job summary

The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University in State College, PA seeks Systems & Robotics Engineers to advance autonomy and underwater robotics within the AET Department. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required.
• 14+ years of relevant experience for Senior Professional.
• Active security clearance at the Secret level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop autonomy architectures for UxVs; design and test novel SSW payloads, sensors, navigation solutions, and undersea effectors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across undersea navigation, endurance optimization, acoustic communications, environmental modeling, and CONOPS.
• Build prototype architectures using SIL/HIL environments and conduct field tests with unmanned platforms in maritime conditions.
• Interact and collaborate regularly with software teams, project leads, and other lab partners.
