Tucker Paving Inc. is seeking an Underground Utility Pipe Mud Crew Member to join our Central Florida team. This position supports installation of water, sewer, and storm drainage systems and works with a pipe crew on excavation, trenching, and site preparation activities.

The ideal candidate has construction experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and teamwork to deliver high-quality underground utility projects on time.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL license required.
• 2+ years of dump truck experience preferred.
• Experience in a construction environment preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work safely as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm drainage pipe systems.
• Perform tasks related to pipe laying, trenching, grading, and backfilling operations.
• Assist pipe layers and operators with materials, tools, and job site preparation.
• Prepare trenches and work areas for pipe installation.
• Set, align, and support pipe installation activities as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.
• Perform manual labor tasks including lifting, digging, shoveling, and moving materials.
• Follow safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient job site.
• Communicate effectively with crew members, equipment operators, and supervisors.
• Perform daily tasks with attention to quality, productivity, and teamwork.
• Assist with other construction duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Underground Utility Pipe Mud Crew Member supports the installation of underground utility systems, including water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure. This position works as part of a pipe crew assisting with excavation, pipe installation, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation activities. The ideal candidate has construction experience, a strong work ethic, understands job site safety, and is willing to work as part of a team to complete quality underground utility projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm drainage pipe systems.
• Perform tasks related to pipe laying, trenching, grading, and backfilling operations.

Must follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Typical working hours are 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40–50 hours per week), with occasional overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
