Job summary

Future Infrastructure, LLC is seeking a construction equipment operator to support underground utility installation in Lithonia, GA. You will operate excavators and related gear, read blueprints, perform inspections, and ensure safe, efficient work with the ground crew.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of heavy equipment experience, a valid CDL, and the ability to read maps. OSHA certification is a plus, and the role requires teamwork and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience operating heavy equipment for underground utility construction.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and utility maps.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, backhoes, trenchers and other heavy equipment for underground utilities.
• Read blueprints and locate utility lines to ensure accurate excavation.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues.
• Adhere to safety regulations and wear PPE.
• Coordinate with ground crew and other team members.
• Assist with manual labor and material handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
