Fulton County in Alpharetta, GA, seeks a Utility Locate Technician to perform operational duties locating water and sewer mains and appurtenances using electronic locating equipment, GIS and GPS data. You will support the Engineering Division with GIS data acquisition and coordinate with field crews.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED with two years of related experience, or an Associate degree optional; possession of a valid Georgia driver's license is required.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Two years experience locating underground utilities or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mansioni

• Locate water and sewer mains, services, and appurtenances using locating equipment, blueprints, GIS and GPS data.
• Assist engineering with GIS and GPS data acquisition.
• Read locate tickets to determine location areas for underground utilities.
• Provide support to work crews, including traffic control and maintenance tasks.
• Complete locate request paperwork as required.
• Operate safely and adhere to county policies and procedures.
