The City of San Marcos, Texas is seeking a Utility Line Locator to safely identify and mark underground utilities, supporting excavation and infrastructure maintenance. You will locate power, water, reclaimed water, and wastewater lines using locating equipment and document results for project partners.

This safety sensitive, on-site role requires a high school diploma, one year of utility locating experience, and a valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in utility locating or related field.
• Must possess a valid Texas Class C Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Locates and marks underground utilities to support safe excavation activities using appropriate locating equipment.
• Performs utility searches, applies color-coded markings, and documents findings to prevent strikes.
• Maintains records of locates and provides reports/maps to project partners as needed.
