You will operate electronic locating equipment, review records, and communicate with excavators and property owners to determine the safest locating approach.

The role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to maintain precise locate records while supporting damage investigations and emergency response as needed.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of underground utility locating or related field experience.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, review, and complete routine and emergency locate requests to support lawful excavation.
• Research GIS data, as-builts, and service records before each locate.
• Operate locator equipment to determine the position of underground City utilities.
• Mark facilities using APWA color standards with paint/flags.
• Maintain accurate locate records with measurements, photos, and GPS coordinates.
• Coordinate with excavators, City staff, and property owners to clarify work boundaries.
