Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking outdoor, safety-minded field technicians to locate underground utilities. You will work with a company-provided vehicle, perform accurate locate marks, and document findings for telecoms, electric, gas, water, and sewer systems.

No prior locating experience is required, though experienced locators are encouraged to apply. We offer extensive training, advancement opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a nationwide leader in damage

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing documentation, and photographing each locate.
