Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We will train you on the job and equip you with the basic skills to be successful in our 100% paid training.

You’ll need to enjoy outdoor work, work independently, and solve problems quickly and accurately. We offer a pay rate of $21.00 per hour, a company vehicle with a fuel card, PTO and paid holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of equipment; lift up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• We will train entry level Locating Technicians to think safety first.
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine best locating method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities; communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.
