Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground using paint and flags. We provide 100% paid on‑the‑job training and all basic skills needed for success.

Candidates should enjoy outdoor work in all weather, prefer independent work, and solve problems quickly and accurately. Pay starts at $21/hour and includes PTO, holidays, and a company vehicle with fuel card.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to walk up to 5 miles a day 2–3 times a week.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and carry equipment for extended periods.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Training provided to locate technicians; safety first.
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps and blueprints to determine method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities; communicate with peers and homeowners.
